    Tarvold,
    It makes sense to use the Tasmanian dams as reserve capacity but that requires that at almost all times they are full and not used operationally. Also a lot of trans Tasman cables.
    Tasmania has 2,600 MW of generation capacity. Our system has 50,000 MW of demand.
