I agree with jungle - I buy and sell on the same day sometimes and have never had a problem (importantly I am with comsec - others could be very different) - the short selling warning screen comes up with every sale - if I have had them for years or minutes - but as long as I have them it always lets it thru.
I assume that because the question has been asked then you have little experience with comsec so far.
One other issue to watch when you start with them is that unless your first buys are something seen as solid (blue chippy stuff) - then when you push the button - the system often knocks you back and asks for a deposit.
This of course affects you emotionally because you see a bargain in front of your eyes and it seems so important at the time :) The reality of bargains always being around just bypasses you.
Just be aware that it happens and you might have to bpay a deposit into comsec - it takes a couple/few days from memory. By which time the bargain is invariably gone.
