quite correct in labelling it hc hearsay but first hand info is only a phone call away. yesterday, i called the perth local number and knowing the answer in advance, there was no point asking whether he was in talks or not, so the next best question was, have you been there recently?....if so, the possibilty of talks remain was my thinking and if not, perhaps unlikely.
imo, if there was no substance at all, it would already have been clearly stated and not leaving the possibility open to interpretation of a minor inaccuracy in the reporting.
whether the repoting has substance or not doesn't change my trading plan anyway....been nice to have something to chat about.
having said that though, if all goes to plan, you'd expect the big players to be collecting tickets in the waiting room prior to a db chat. good luck guys.
