Internet won't be going anywhere. Even XTV runs on Internet Protocols. Ports probably means 'website' - which won't be obsolete either although its popularity is waning. Smart TV ? It will only get smarter from here IMO. Instead of buying a TV and then a Google Chromecast or an Apple TV set top box or an Intel Compute stick to bolt on why not just whack everything into the one unit ? IMO in the not too distant future a computer and a TV will be one of the same - it seems the only logical outcome. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. Does that mean XTV will be a dud? Not at all, it will only help the uptake of the .TV revolution. Search for your favourite brand on your smart TV and they'll have a channel for you to view instead of the usual boring website, then buy whatever you want from your TV. Bingo!
