Thought I'd share couple of images & my thoughts from CTP's earlier reports as we drill ahead at 607m depth Simpson-1.
Once again the formation are coming in higher then forecast & hope to see decent gas once in the right zones.
1)/b> Image shows, where we are at S-1 in relation to the 2 earlier wells.
2) This one's a seismic section for S-1.
From a first glance there is a consistency in the thickness of the formation which is good news (ie no faults etc, pretty flat, no closures, in short a pretty good seal), this shows the tops for the Carbonate section, which yet again is not mentioned on the daily drill reports (Reminder to self to email JH to add it to the lithostratigraphy on pg 2).
What to expect?
No surprises actually with the Purni, thickness is what i'd like to hear, as by now I've formed the opinion about the maturity & gas content of the Purni.
The question is how much is there in BCF or TCF terms for that matter. Time will tell
