I have now become a minor expert in the Chinese Iron & Steel industry.
After many hours of cross checking names of companys & names of owners....involved with Sin-Tang.
While I did not find a connection, I did learn that these guys are BIG, no tin pot operators here.
I also learnt that margins in the Iron & Steel business are very tight.
They are not making the money that they were, due to the number of business' they are competeing with, The cost of ore & cost of production.
I really feel they may be considering a move into Copper processing, & positioning themselves for it.
I also found out there are a number of Copper Smelters around the world that are mothballed at the minute, for one reason or another. They are ready to roll, still being maintained only.
Copper ( Red Gold )is going to be the next big thing, over a good number of years, with tight supply & larger margins than the Iron & Steel industry, Copper will be a very profitable place to be.
So without finding a direct link between Sin-Tang & the Copper industry, I feel even more confident, this is what they may be in Exco for.......
Copper Concentrate
cheers
