Unlike you I can not retire...my CBAs are not going to let me do so.
You are completely correct ....rewarding employees for fixing failures is a bit rich! How about the employees just manage to keep their jobs and have pay rises and benefits suspended? My policy is to vote AGAINST all remuneration reports for every company I have a share in!
