it'd all be so much hot air except for how the market tends to treat stocks.
from a long time watching various stocks I;ve found stocks dont tend to push up hard post the initial 'discovery rush' until they fall to at least 'fair value' if they lose all the momentum that drove the initial discovery as BUD has. Some stocks never do - SFR was a classic eg.
thats why you tend to see those rip downs to 'cheap/fair value' point - followed by a launch up.
i just bought exposures to SAND and OR in the US. Have a look at those charts - esp OR - and you'll see what I mean.
thats really why i post on BUD currently - I'm trying to give some temperance so people understand the full risk profile as its seen by professional investors because no one else seems to discuss
having learnt painful experiences in the market I wish someone had done it for me early days
and agree - some stocks with the right zeitgeist never become cheap. but thats pretty rare.
still ...tempered optimism's a healthy thing.
