    Kondratieff assumes 50-60 year cycles

    armstrong assumes a 51.6 year long cycle

    this is made up of 6 waves of 8.6 years (224 years / 26 panics = 8.6 year long waves)

    6 waves x 8.6 years = one long cycle (51.6 years)
