In Corona IMO once a week is not enough IMO but 300mg PBT2 / day could well be enough and most likely would not cause any side-effects as was the case in the phase 2 study. So ATHE needs first the in vitro study, then the randomized, placebo-controlled phase 2 study in Corona population and perhaps at the same time a placebo-controlled, randomized study in the healthcare population. In this wild epidemy, the risk of developing PBT2 resistant virus needs to be taken.
My guess is that the in vitro phase will be ready soon, study plans are under development and patent applications are perhaps already done. I am checking Clinical trials every day if there are any iron chelators listed. Yesterday there were 143 different Corona studies listed and today 15 more. No prophylaxis studies yet. Corona is a hot topic today and Dr. Sinclair is one among those interested in that.

Pivalde...I meant to throw this out there for discussion a couple of weeks ago but, seeing as we're engaging in speculation and theorizing, here goes: I think perhaps the reason why we have not had any news regarding FDA approval of PBT434 Phase 2 trial plans and tentative start date is because Dr. Sinclair has a new proposal to present. Could/ would the FDA consider modifying the Phase 2 human trial to include combining PBT434 with SIRT3 in some fashion and dosage to see if this will result in improved results compared to PBT434 alone? Maybe worth a shot but would hate to upset the apple cart since the Phase 1 results were so promising and Dr. Stamler, et.al. have been so focused and determined to follow this process to it's successful conclusion.
