There is just no way that our current Pope was involved in any sort of cover up at any stage of his life. I would not ever rely on any news from the BBC about the Catholic Church because they have been conducting a vendetta for some years and I don't know why. They twist stuff to suit. I have listened to reports and I have yet to get a coherent understanding from what is being said, the anti reports are not consistent.
By the way, show me any other organization that has gone out of its way to such an extent to face up to this issue. Only 0.4% of priests in Australia have been tainted by these sexual crimes and claims. That leaves 99.6% clean skins. The proportion of offenders in this area within other categories is actually a much greater proportion. Get it in perspective. As a Catholic I am deeply offended and ashamed of what has happened.
