I agree but you have to have all on board and on the same page- also need a certain competence level too! Quarantining remotely and filtering the infected coming in (which let the delta into Sydney) seems 101 basics but didn't happen!

NSW and the Feds do still not seem to think this is possible- and this was confirmed by their failure to strategically lock down properly- the NSW approach has all but ruled out this possibility now and plan B (the inferior route) relies on the vaccination roll out which; being in the Morrison Govt hands it has failed to launch for months and is only now getting up to levels of resourcing and activity needed to do it properly- unfortunately for all those that have been locked down for months already- this bungle is huge and due to the "its not a race" failed strategy means the chosen targets are still weeks to months away!

This failure has cost many businesses and relationship breakdowns, financial ruin for many too! So just as Morrison was a Plan B PM the vaccine roll out is the headstone of the aussie way of life and the economy! The sad reality is the worst is yet to come!
But you are unlikely to see any signs of contrition from Morrison who continues to pat himself on the back and as the fathers day jaunt shows enjoy freedoms most others don't so will keep on with the spin and politicking against the states!
