Reefton Mining Expects News About Namibia Issues Shortly

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Reefton Mining N.L. said Tuesday that in the most recent correspondence received from the Mining Commissioner of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Namibia, he confirmed that the Company will receive advice from the MME imminently.

The company said it continues to liaise with the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Namibia (MME) in respect to the applications for renewal of the Exclusive Prospecting Licences (EPL's) covering the Erongo Polymetallic Project (EPL 2805 - 2811) and the Skeleton Coast Diamond Project (EPL 2698 - 2700), the application for inclusion of Nuclear Fuels at the Erongo Polymetallic Project and the application for inclusion of Industrial Minerals at the Skeleton Coast Diamond Project.
In an announcement being made in response to a price and volume query made by ASX to the Company, Reefton said there has been no suggestion from the MME as to what decision the MME will take in respect to the forgoing matters.
Other than the foregoing observations the Company is not aware of any information concerning it that has not been announced, which, if known, would be an explanation for recent trading in the securities of the Company.
The Company advises that it is not aware of any other reason for the increase in the price and trading volume of the Company's securities.
