Fair point, Haasko. Most drugs are also cut to smithereens by the time they reach the street. In other words Mr Biggest gets it and cuts it, so he has more to sell to Mr Bigger, who then dishes it off to Mr Big after cutting it, who also cuts it so he has more to sell. By the time it reaches the tadpoles at times there is very little smack left in the smack. This happens especially so when there isn't much smack about. The biggest danger to smack addicts is when some ridgy didge stuff hits the streets; all of a sudden they drop like flies because they shoot up as much as they normally do, not realising that what they get normally is percentage wise not all that strong. Heroin in enough quantities slows your heart down so much that effectively you go to sleep and never wake up. That is what they call an overdose.

By the way, Afghanistan has had a bumper Poppy crop recently, due to the fact that it is the only thing materially worthwhile doing in there after the US had been through the place. Expect more addicts getting a hot shot in coming months once some of the Afghani crop finds it's way Down Under.

By the way, the last people who believe what the police say in the media are the police themselves: and the police say a lot in the media that isn't attributed to the police; the police and groups like ASIO have a big say about what is discussed in the media, and how that discussion takes place. Not much of what is discussed is true, and a great deal of it borrows facts to make it appear true, when in fact the opposite is the case.
