It has advantage and disadvantage. If govt stop payment it would have devastating effect on economy in the short time, may be beneficial in longer term. These payments are just for survival and I think, they spend all this money to meet day to day activities. It means this money goes in the pockets of retailers and in other words, it sustains lot of jobs and govt get back some in shape of taxes. But there must be a balance approach and one must not be able to take extra advantage of this system.
