Don't have kids if you can't afford them. It's as simple as that.
For too long we've been encouraging people to breed like rabbits for all the wrong reasons. In my opinion there are only a small portion of single parents that actually deserve government help. The rest just put themselves in the sh*t and expect everyone elses sympathy.
