I think the point made in AFR is quite a good one. We presently see these locker banks as part of the logistics for online sales; to overcome the missed delivery issue.
The scope is much much greater than that. They potentially have a place in retail. Everyone has been to the Apple shop; Geniuses and geeks everywhere. Just imagine if through an app on your phone you could complete a purchase in-store and retrieve your purchase from a TZ locker bank located at the back of the shop. No need to wait in a queue or speak to an assistant. No waiting for delivery either.
