the fact that UMC's share price drops after every major announcement suggests information is being leaked prior to the announcement. no doubt who the culprits are imo

as for Traoloch Investments (aka Hogans), maybe Terry heard his son was going to be made CEO and decided to bail lol......might have been a wise move, time will tell

also, why did it take so long to call a trading halt before the drill results? the share price started to run days before the trading halt was in place. maybe Hogans were getting a head start and offloaded some at a $1.50 on the speculation results were awesome.

the board definitely needs to appoint some independent directors and a implement some good corporate governance policies before UMC gets any respect and credibility from some of the larger brokers

distancing themselves from Hogan & Partners and getting a well regarded CEO would be a step in the right direction. with a bit of luck a couple of RIO's board members might join UMC once BHP takes them over
