PB is gone imo... as the head of TNG only he can be responsible for this (right or wrong), and he has certainly entered muddy waters after prodding the NTEPA crocodile. SMS have too much at stake with the TIVAN tech and I can't see them wanting to start this whole process over with another company/project. I reckon they (and other top 20s) will take things into their own hands behind-the-scenes and make him walk. Let's not forget that his balance of power was through bringing Vimson onto the register. Can't see how either they or SMS would be seeing a smooth path forward with PB leading the company...
But you know what, if they brought in a real MD/CEO on board that has real connections and a solid history of seeing projects to fruition... well, it could be just what the Dr has ordered for some years now.
