Your application should be processed within:44 working days for low impact applications88 working days for medium impact applications176 working days for high impact applications. The above timeframes refer to the actual time during which DOC is able to process the application. They do not include the time spent waiting for further information or comment from the applicant, or when the applicant has put the application on hold. Applications for significant mining activities must be publicly notified. If public notification is required there will be additional processing timeframes and costs for those applications. Staff from the Hokitika office will advise you if this is likely. We will provide an estimate of the likely application processing time and cost when your application is received.
