A clinical trial studying the use of Avastin + SIR-Spheres is about to open in US - according to several US doctors. Of course the results of such a study are probably 'known' as SIR-Spheres have been used with Avastin since the latter was approved in US in early 2004. Such results for colon cancer are strongly positive and has led to Genentech undertaking its present due dilliegence of Sirtex with a view to either licensing SIR-Spheres or acquiring Sirtex.
