I think when the subgroup analysis is done it will show that those with limited liver only disease did have better OS. But by the time that comes out the main beneficiary will be BTG who sell virtually the same product but don't have the damaging brand association with these fiascos. I suspect there could be some other embarrassing revelations as with Sirflox. Its pretty hard to accept a tumor response rate of just 19% as being reasonable to expect. And I think the frequency of the grade 3 events seem to be higher for SIRT than in other studies too, but maybe its a reflection of just how sick the patients were in this trial.
Come Monday every broker in Australia will be saying "told you so, don't buy shares in SRX".
Now they have to rely on SIRveNIB and Foxfire to pull the chestnuts out of the fire. Most likely they will, since the people involved seem to have a much better knowledge of what they are doing and how to do it.
