Depending on how proactive the Tanzania govt are regarding renewables, a combination of solar/ diesel could be viable, particularly if a deal could be struck regarding powering surrounding areas from a privately funded plant, in the form of tax breaks or similar.

Storage is usually a problem, and there is also a large footprint required for a solar array, and not sure if there is too many places on the tenement that aren't mineralized.

I will send out to get an opinion from a colleague that knows a lot more about stand alone systems than me, and even if it is possible to supply the potentially large volatile current requirements to run plant and equipment.

But with production costs decreasing, the Chinese all over Tanzania, and the push for world wide uptake for renewable energy, we may be able to repatriate some rare earths back to the place in which they came in the form of modules and inverters!
