Emerging Canadian drug company Stirling Pharma Inc has been granted a site license by Health Canada?s Minister of Health to manufacture, package and distribute natural health products at its manufacturing plant in North Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Canada drug company Stirling Pharma Inc., which is in fact a wholly owned subsidiary company of Australian listed company Stirling Products Ltd., issued a public notice yesterday advising of Health Canada?s approval for their North Sydney operation to manufacture natural health products and supplements. Whilst a license to manufacture pharmaceutical Canadian drugs has not yet been granted, Stirling Pharma Inc is confident that Health Canada?s Minister of Health will do so by the end of the year. Health Canada officials are scheduled to take a tour of the company?s manufacturing plant in North Sydney for an inspection of the issue of an Established License, after which the company expects a full Establishment License to then be issued.
The Stirling Pharma Inc facility in Nova Scotia covers forty six thousand square feet, including both laboratories for Canada drug formation and development, and also specialist sections that will have numerous capabilities including container blending, high shear mixing and equipment designed for modified drug release technology. The plant is believed to have the ability to both manufacture and package over five million bottles and five hundred and fifty million tablets, as well as blend up to one and a half million kilograms of product each and ever
