Renison Bell & Avebury share the same old 44kV line coming from Roseberry and it was not rated more than about 25MVA its one of the last 44kV Over Head lines left over in Tasmania. Unless they upgrade to 66kV which means relining and or insulator upgrade on that line then there is not enough juice to go round. Large cost to upgrade that line by Hydro Tasmania.
Anyway not my problem just that was what was going down when Renison where looking for more juice for their HV switchyard upgrades.
All the transformers both at Avebury on the hill in that switchyard & Renision bell are now 44kV > 11 kV Renison & 44kV > 22kV at Avebury so all that need to be changed out if 66kV is punched down that line.
The Conductor was at its maximum rated load back then. So its go up in Voltage or restring or something but Renison Tin won't want a voltage change their old yard is at 44kV incomer.
I don't know if they have addressed the problem.
