There has been an enormous amount of work done on the development drive at Avebury. one figure I heard quoted was that it would cost $5000 per metre to replicate. I got to see some of the stopes that are currently being mined and taken up to the ROM pad.

Terrible light down the drives at the moment so poor photography on my part but you can see the golden/bronze nickel ores in that rear wall.

Also notable that the rock nails and mesh, some of which has been up for a decade, is in surprisingly good condition. It looks like it's been put up in 2022.
