Visit Australia's new premier magnetite iron ore project on
Professor Clive Palmer's private jet
Professor Palmer, Mineralogy and Australasian Resources are hosting visits to Western
Australia's Pilbara Region for a site tour of the Balmoral project, which is reputedly one of the
world's largest undeveloped magnetite resources.
The project is now under development, with financial backing from a Chinese governmentcontrolled
entity, and is estimated to contain 60 -100 billion tonnes of iron ore.
If you would like to take part in a free site visit, aboard Professor Palmer's private jet, please
email [email protected] or phone Jan on (08) 9322 2288 for more information.
Site visits are likely to occur from both Western and Eastern Australia in April and May. Seats
are limited but every effort will be made to accommodate interested parties.
Do not miss out on your opportunity to visit what will become Australasia's premier magnetite
iron ore project.
ABOUT THE BALMORAL PROJECT:
The Balmoral project, west of Karratha in WA's Pilbara, has the potential to become the largest
iron ore province in Australia’s history and earn its founder, Professor Clive Palmer, a place on
WA's list of true iron ore pioneers.
Hong Kong-listed and Chinese-backed company CITIC Pacific paid Professor Palmer $290M for
the right to mine one billion tonnes of iron ore from the George Palmer deposit. Professor
Palmer will also reap a further US$100M a year in royalties for 25 years from CITIC. CITIC has an
option for a further five lots of one billion tonnes.
Australasian (ASX: ARH), will now play a big part in the development of Balmoral. The company
last year signed a deal with Professor Palmer for the rights to mine one billion tonnes of iron ore
from the Susan Palmer deposit at Balmoral, which is adjacent to CITIC's deposit. Australasian
completed a scrip deal for the mining rights, which resulted in Professor Palmer becoming
Australasian’s major shareholder.
