Increasing bond yields will be a major contributor to the price fall. The discount rate used to value stocks like Telstra rises with 10-year bond yields and the price falls accordingly. Look at what is happening to property trusts and stocks like TCL, SYD and APA at the moment. Growth stocks on high PEs are similarly affected.
