sitting on my hands

I am currently sitting on my hands so to speak to avoid selling my shares. Too many times I have lost patience with a stock only to sell for a loss when I see other stocks surging ahead. Lately it has been the same watching UNS, DYE and various others moving while we sit perfectly still. I have to turn the computer off and not look at the others so that I for once don't get frustrated and sell at a loss.
