He was always thankful for support he had in Australia, the Sugarman doco focuses on South Africa and his return there in '98 but in his interviews he always mentioned the two tours of Australia in '79 and '81 before going into obscurity until '96 when rediscovered thanks to the internet and starting again in South Africa where he was massive in the 70's and 80's unbeknown to Rodriguez.
Very rare, talented, decent human being...real music which makes you think rather than much of the garbage performed these days.
