The image appears to have been taken with an iPhone 4S at 2:21pm on 11th May and judging by the rust, the vegetation growing between some of the pipes and the drip indentations in on the ground under the pipes, it would appear that they have been there a long time. [ I wonder if the photographer was trespassing to take this photo?? ]

The pipes may have been there from before the current well work even commenced, and that seems to have been a very long time now.

When I first saw the photo, I was hoping that they would for piping vast quantities of oil from Wombat 3 to a collection point during the one month flow test. But that is more of me being an optimist than someone who knows anything about wells and pipes.
