Nice statistics Algen - full respect for "tallying the results"
Even if "SK-II Magnetic Eye Care" sells
one product a day at each of these counters the numbers are impressive.
As a conservative estimate I have put the wholesale price of the kit at $60USD. The total number of SK-II counters in Asia I have put at approx 1950.
The calculation would read as follows:
Total SK-II Counter's in Asia
X Wholesale Price
X 365 Days
= Potential year one sales.
1950
X 60
X 365
= 42 Million USD /
51 Million AUD
Two a day over a year = 84 Million USD /
102 Million AUD
Three a day over a year = 126 Million USD /
150 Million AUD (2% Royalty - $3M AUD)
This is not to mention the countless e-commerce sites (online) that also stock and distribute the product. Whether it's through the official SK-II online stores or a third party site. Also not to mention non-Asian revenue.
If we see a repeat of the "outstanding success" we have seen in South Korea then I do believe the latter estimate could be a reality. I stress that this is what I believe is a conservative approach!
" Overall, the SK-II product launch in South Korea has been an outstanding success. All stocks allocated for “month 1” were depleted in a few days. All stocks allocated for “month 2” release have also been sold out." -JTA40 report on the AGM
2 more products close to licensing. 5 More in the advancing through the pipeline. Potentially a GSK Toothbrush.... Are we the only one's seeing this?
Hopefully we see more of this in the coming weeks - I think it's safe to say we will!
"No has actually been using SK-II products for more than 3 years and, as a new ambassador for the Korean brand, changed into a very solemn person to present his new favorite product: “I am the kind of person who wakes up with swollen eyes, but after applying SK-II’s Stem Power eye-cream and massaging my eyes with the magnetic stick, they immediately become sharper.”
