That is the problem, there is ambiguity in the wording and therefore the company should remove that ambiguity.
To me the wording "must acquire" means that SK must handover whatever sum before or on the 20th Feb to get the discount. Shareholder approval can then be granted after. They can't say they want the shares and pay after the 20th otherwise they have not acquired them, merely indicated that they will acquire them.
Now I am sure there will be others that have a different take on what I have said and if that is the case there is ambiguity and if there is ambiguity it is up to the company to dispel that.
The company can not do that by relaying information by anonymous shareholders on a public forum. It would have to be in an announcement.
