"EGM Deadline" is a complete fallacy. You are now referring to a contractual option for 19.9%, opposed to "equity security" options under the Listing Rules. The latter (which was the 31 Dec 18 options, were subject to strict rules and prohibitions around extension etc). The contractual option is just that, a contractual agreement that the parties can do whatever they want with (i.e vary), subject to mutually agreeing the same.

Pretty sure if SK came along on 1 Feb and said we want in at 12c, then the Company would agree to that (including giving them the discount) notwithstanding that it would mean that the EGM and share issue could not occur till post 20 Feb.
