Agree totally what vintage is trying to do is have everybody believe that when they start recycling these batteries that they will be able to recover 100% of the used cobalt and other minerals to replenish any car manufacturers need into the future, when the facts are that they will be lucky to regain 50% of the product so inevitably they will still need to source new product for batteries , how would it be if you went into buy a new BMW paying over 100k for your new EV and the salesperson gives you the spiel by the way with your new EV you get the added bonus of secondhand batteries included in the price but wait theres still more a lovely set of steak knives will be included as compensation, if I am buying a 100 thousand dollar car I want everything to be new.
I can see there is a future with recycling batteries but more so for second hand EV's than new ones.
