'Yep cos Australians are angels, arnt we? We dont inflict senseless violence/crimes on our own'
Russian, two wrongs don't make a right mate. You hit the nail on the head, why do we need to inherit people who are accustomed to crime and violence when we already have enough of our own.
Let's not forget, these blokes targeted and viciously raped a woman because she was Australian. Rapes and sexual abuse are not isolated incidents within this culture. If we know for a fact that a certain culture represent a disproportionate proportion of rapes and sexual abuse, why then should our women be put at risk.
Australia is no place for people who have such a disdain and disrespect for women within our culture.
I would just prefer we not allow the immigration of people who have such restrictive beliefs of women. I feel very sorry for the daughters who grow up in Australia and are torn between the two cultures. in England, honour killings of young women have been reported to be more frequent than actual reports. This is because families do not report them. How tough would it be for a young Muslim girl living two lives. And quite often, if they want to lead a western life, they are often abused, shunned, sent back to their home country or worse, killed.
There is no place in our culture for people with these beliefs!
