so we have a labour shortage ie -
a) not enough aged care workers to clean, tidy, make beds, cook, feed the elderly residents
b) not enough hospitality & retail workers to make coffee, sandwiches serve customers
c) not enough nurses
d) not enough ambulance drivers
I can only see one sector that would benefit from a very targeted "nurses only" migration scheme
the others are all low skilled low paid workers....
the bulk of our labour shortage seems to be in low paid unskilled workers and yet our migration policy is focusing on skilled migrants.?
skilled migrants that wont do low paid aged care work, but will instead put more pressure for more unskilled servant workers, more pressure on housing and rental cost.....more pressure on inflation.....?
