in the past few years the 'honest' management of esi have unfortunately not been able to focus 100% on commercialisation (only say 50%), as they have been busy tightening corporate govenance, which emnates from an unfortunate legacy of, shall we say, mis-management and special favourites;

current management have remained all too busy trying to keep certain negative elements at bay - and in the past 12 months, the wolves - given bank funding is hard to come by.

well, the 'negative' elements have been eliminated, as represented by a clear committment that esi is not, any more, anyone's cash box.

post a very successful SPP (in this environment), and, by all accounts, an oversubscribed shortfall, the funding issue has also gone away. thanks especially to phillip capital.

esi has appointed a strategic director very recently, and time will show this was a very clever appointment, to coin a phrase.

the current management are 100% committed to esi, some have financial skin, some dont...and the reasons for this are valid, having said that i personally wouldnt mind if they all bought more, over and beyond the SPP, which i believe relevent parties took up, as proclaimed at the last EGM.

and lets not be so naive as to talk about the market value of skin now - remember, some have had skin for YEARS.. what it is worth now is now what it was worth going in.

(i am in that boat too - been a shareholder since 2005).

lets me assure you, they all have a lot of financial and non financial skin in this phenomenal world leading fully commercial technology

the pace of commercialisation will, in my opinion, move forward at a faster pace as financial worries evaporate, more people come onboard, the IP is taken, deals are sealed - and imagine the publicity and potential for govt assistance should jobs be created in la trobe valley

imagine the potential impact on the environment

oh, and lets not forget Matmor, ESI's jewel.

esi no longer need support from anyone of the past, from next month when this shortfall is closed, ESI, will for the first time in a long while, be able to concentrate 100% on showing the world who they are, and who they can become.
