"In the absence of new variants"

There will always be new variants, as there always are for flu because viruses mutate.

Therein lies the debate but it is a necessary debate.

Do we enter a future with permanent 'temporary' lockdowns and pay the economic price, do we keep our international borders shut for the general public, allowing travel only for the rich and/or government workers, do not let us rejoice for we are not one or free?
