zen_machine i'm pretty bullish on the stock but centro has always been a viable buseness even with the current debt. They have not defaulted on regular payments....the lenders got jumpy!
the reintroduction of dividends will cause a massive flood of insto's and other investors back into the stock. It has survived with a mountain of debt. It should therefore have no problems surviving with a much reduced debt level on the balance sheet. There centres are, after all, situated in the more affluent areas and non-discretionary retail is generally seen as a defensive play. With dividends it will be a no-brainer, imho.
happy to be corrected but i see the reintroduction of dividends as the real driving force in the sp....cnp's and in particular cer's dividends were only stopped temporarily as a precautionary step.
