Those companies provide the services and content which drives the demand for the service in the first place.
This is why structural separation makes sense. The network should be stand alone and have to stand on its own two feet e.g. Charge enough to make itself profitable and not rely on profit from other services.
It should be neutral in regards to what is served over it.
