The fact that somebody advocating an absurd, retrograde move like telcos charging Skype is a holder says it all. Pure self interest.
If you had any understanding of history, you'd know this move is doomed. SingTel can try all they want, but there'll always be many more people (and far more intelligent people than work in Telcos) working to find ways around such stupid rules.
We pay some of the highest rates in the world for IPs, and what's more, our speeds are shockingly below par.
If you want to invest in middle-of-the-road securities like Telstra, fine. Just don't expect the world to be held back to pay you higher dividends.
