Agree that Skype is easy to load but it is a poor substitute to a landline/mobile. We installed some 9 months ago and had some fun using it particularly with folk overseas. The major drawback however is that everyone needs to be online when you want to call. I found in the end I was using the phone to call folk and tell them to get on line so I could Skype them. So a bit of a novelty limited by people being on line. With the rise in concern re computer viruses and bank fraud, people now seems to turnoff pcs when they aren't in use.
