Hi Niloony, Being a Christian I actually Emailed the LDP about that exact topic prior to joining with them.
the apparent 'pro gay marriage'. I think it is very badly worded on their website, the LDP are neither pro or against gay marriage. They are pro getting government out of the picture of marriage.
It is a moral issue and not one that should be regulated by government. On the other side the gays usually marry from my understanding for Welfare/State benefits as obviously the church prohibits it. So if there were no state or welfare benefits there wouldn't be any gay marriage.
