Ms Latimer said “While the PIF product disclosure statement identifies itself as being a high-risk fund, it is possible that these people chose to invest – or were advised to invest – in these funds without a full awareness of the risks associated.”

We read all the fine print in the prospectus and found it to be a sound investment, we did not find it to be a high-risk fund lick some other funds as it invested in first mortgages only. We also went to the MFS Premium Income Fund Sydney office and asked lots of questions and only got good sound positive feedback. We also did not wish to invest in stock market.

To me it was not the fund that had the high-risk but the people looking after the fund that are floored and high-risk.
