Optus continues front-line comms for Synergy
Synergy Equities Group — which includes the Data-inCrypt online data backup
and recovery service, and Synergy Business Solutions Australia — has
awarded existing supplier Optus a new contract to provide its primary telecommunications
services. The revised deal includes a boost of bandwidth from
4M-bits/sec to 10-M-bits/sec as well as significant cost reductions.
Synergy is now in the process of selecting a secondary provider in order to
achieve carrier redundancy. “Should the primary service fail then the secondary
service will automatically and immediately take over,” a spokesman explained.
“Each service will have a diverse path, meaning that the physical cabling of
each service will enter the Synergy group’s location on different sides of the
building.”
