@StefanF, making profit in the market involves the transfer of money from one party to the next and if we divide the market into two halves, one half being the winner side while the other being the loser side. The loser side has to be bigger in order for the market to sustainably operate, and that is why the market is cyclical by nature. Every now and then the loser side, or the fuel, gets spent and money needs to be created to restart it. We observe the phenomenon as a market crash or whatever clever terms people came up with.
