Most people do trade in and out at the beginning of a share price climb, but most of them end up investing most of their money close to peak, through adding into their position when they should have been selling, or investing much bigger amount of money after they have sold out previously. The result is that they suffered overall losses despite gains they have made earlier. People do feel pain when their profit on paper gets eroded despite not suffering any real financial loss, but the behaviour that results would be far different. Your post actually confirmed what I have said. You are probably unaware, but you have stated your buy in price as well as your trading activity, and the reason for that is because you are suffering. In other words, your behaviour is the result of the negative emotions that you are feeling. You may not have lied on the numbers themselves, but there things called lying through omissions.
