I had what the doctor called "early waking insomnia" up till a few years ago. She fixed that with a medication called amitriptyline. Also, a common problem, the bladder doesn't hold out for the whole night. She fixed that too with something called dutasteride, which she also said can work to prevent enlarged prostate. Been sleeping well ever since.
