The chart above displays the share price (and trading volume) of Blackstone Minerals Ltd trading on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX code: BSX), combined with the nickel price in US dollars.
While some correlation is undeniable, there are also time when the market recognises opportunities. For example, Delphi asset management from Germany increased its BSX shareholding from 28.4 million shares (14.8%) to 30.9 million shares (16.1%) through on-market purchases early November.
The announcement of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the South Korea's largest electric vehicle battery cathode manufacturer, Ecopro BM Co Limited has also been well received by the market despite the nickel price correction.
